About Kathy D. Johnson

My formative years were spent on a ranch in Wyoming.  It follows that I am influenced by images of endless windswept skies, wildlife, sagebrush...and also by a culture of stubborn independence and humor in the face of adversity.  (Stubbornness and humor have served me well as a junior high art teacher for 25 years.)

My subject matter varies as I become interested in exploring new places and things; and though my works are mostly representative, I am increasingly drawn to the abstract.

We are all here to create something, right?  I like to paint.
